Reviews of the Tommy Jones CD entitled "Broken"
I love this CD. Tommy is an amazing writer, singer, and musician. He has songs for romancing, hard loving, and killing, what else could you want? Him. That's what else. Anyway, great cd. GREAT. Buy it. Now.

Reviews of the Tommy Jones CD entitled "Thinking Myself To Death"
Jones shows range on this CD; some songs, like the first, have a full, bopping fifties feel. Others are driving country, or quiet country ballads. There are a lot of songs about heartbreak; a lot of gals in these songs do Jones wrong. The lyrics are simple and spare and so are the arrangements, but Jones uses both to his advantage. Highlights include the title tune, the old-fashioned country ballad "Playing Hard to For-Get," the lovely waltz "Two-Step Across Texas" and a more rocking, fun song called "The Woman's Touch."

Thinking Myself to Death has a song for every mood. Mostly classic country, Tommy's music will make you laugh and cry. My personal favorite is "Daddy's Gone." A folksy ballad, this reminiscent song touches even cynics. Overall, it's an incredible CD with cheerful, humorous, and thoughtful lyrics. In sum, buy it!

Ladies, you know those nights you end up in a REAL honkey tonk, sweating your ass off, ending the night half-drunk dancing with some guy you hardly know? Imagine yourself in that place and I promise it would be Tommy Jones playing on the juke box. Country music has so much pop in it these days that you can't even two-step to it anymore. It's hard to find a song with roots. They're either pop or satire, never heartbreak or desire. Tommy knows his roots and manages to weave them beautifully into a genre that seems to have lost its heart. If I had a beer in my hand I'd raise it to him, the spirit of outlaw music, and two-stepping until last call.

"Thinking Myself to Death" by Tommy Jones is full of clever lyrics and catchy hooks. I thoroughly enjoyed it and think you will, too.

This is an exceptional CD. It shows the incredible talents of Tommy Jones as a singer, songwriter, and musician. His voice is gold and his musicianship flawless. This CD encompasses a great mix of songs that will pull at your heartstrings, make you tap your toes, and send you to the dance floor! This CD would be a great addition to any collection.

Quality musicianship-shows great promise as up and coming songwriter. I listened and pictured Travis Tritt or Tim McGraw singing!!!

This cd is fantastic! It has a great sound that isn't over produced. The songs are real, not fabricated. It's a great mix of songs with good country roots plus a little touch of a variety of music styles such as bluegrass, rock and others. This cd is a must to have in your collection! Tommy Jones has out done his previous cds with this release.

Tommy Jones’ latest release 'Thinking Myself to Death' will satisfy the musical appetite of classic country fans as well as ‘new country’ cowboys. The intense emotion that envelopes Mr. Jones unique songwriting literally drops like tears from your stereo speakers. From “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” to “You Can’t Make Me Stop Loving You”, this CD will take you from a cowboy boogie on the dance floor to nursing a cold one at the bar dreaming of a lost love. This CD belongs in the music library of any music fan.

Reviews of "Going Nowhere Fast"
Tommy Jones has achieved a milestone with this CD. His songwriting and musicianship have both achieved the "Nashville Pro" status. There is nothing on this CD that doesn't deserve airplay. Mr Jones prefers to record in his home studio and all of his products are self produced. I have heard the previous two and liked them enough to sign him to Cubbyhole Records, but this one has a professional quality that the others lack.

Yep. Lead singer Tommy Jones is country. Or so he proudly proclaims on the country track "Too Country" where he acknowledges he will never have crossover commercial success. His voice does have a country twang and does
make one remember Johnny Cash to a certain extent. BUT "Going Nowhere Fast" isn't neccessarily a country record. Or at least not your typical country record. The new cd from T.J. and the Homewreckers runs the gauntlet from traditional country (the fine opener "That Ain't Me"), rockabilly (the hilarious and frightnening true to life "TMI"), and even cowpunk on "You Love to Lie". The rocking "When Her Crazy Kicks In", a standout track,
sounds like Warren Zevon in his prime."Live Like Y'ount To" is a solid redneck anthem. "Missing You Again" is a
cleverly written tune that has flashes of 80's new wave rock. You got to love the wordplay and power behind "Keep Your Truckin' Hands Off My Girl". "Twenty Beers Ago" is another well written tune with a catchy beat that may
or may not be a country song, depends how ya hear it! "What If You're Wrong" would be at home on modern country radio. An emotional tune with a commercial sound.
Tommy's country twang keeps this cd in country territory but the driving music definitely has it on the outskirts of country territory at times. Despite the diversity of the album, it all meshes together well and flows very smooth. This CD is a showcase for the great songwriting abilities of Tommy Jones that lie at the core of this CD. The band kicks pretty serious "A" as well. A very unique and enjoyable release that the ol' Gator highly recommends. Keep on wreckin' TJ and the Homewreckers!!!
